Poem #17-”She Called me a Loser”

Here’s some lyrics I wrote a couple of years ago and I’ll be sharing them right now for Poem #17 :D Enjoy. Comment, rate, subscribe por favor. I’ll be getting back to ongoing comments by tomorrow morning. Just been a hectic week!

She said if life’s a circle

Than what can I do

Better go on a fishing trip

With my canoe.

If I catch a fish, think I’ll

Name him Paul

By the color of his fins

I’ll nail him on the wall. Continue reading

Poem #16 – What We’ve Seen

Well here’s #16. As you can tell I’m eight days off seeing as today is the 25th (though it’s early) I’ll have a day soon just to post a new poem every hour. More info on that in tomorrows post :) enjoy.

If you saw me now
could you believe your eyes?
And we’ll sail on the outskirts
of my life.
When the time brings us surprises
and we’re crying on the floor.
When they left my life one day
my eyes still glued to the door.
Perhaps one day I’ll find the key
to ease my mind,
in the dark I will stumble Continue reading

Poem #15-Growing Up

Well the posts have been slightly delayed but not without any good reason ;) new domain name, site layout, and awesomeness coming in the next two weeks. Also, a major launch to be discussed with my new series Murders and the City. Hope you enjoy this little poem, two new posts tomorrow and a poem to catch up!

She looks at me through emerald eyes,
and blows me kisses all the time.
When we’re laying in my bed,
sometimes I can’t quite recall the things she said
cause we’re always talking day to day
ya know she loves it that way.
Says her can’t understand,
wonders why we all can’t play in the sand?
We’re getting older; the warmth’s getting colder
figurin’ we’ll make it to Boulder, if not L.A. Continue reading

Poem #14 -”Stoner”

Well as many of you know today is 420 the international day for everyone to go smoke weed and also a day where the police catch most of these people. Hey, it goes with the territory I guess. Well, it is Bob Marley day…and Adolf Hitler’s birthday; yeah go figure. Well here’s a poem/lyric I wrote called “Stoner”.This song is a little commentary on suburbia, enjoy ;)

Don’t worry bout a thing baby-girl

they’re just letters after all,

I’d be lying to say they never had meant something;

but I’d be lying to say she means a thing.

We like to wallow in the green,

painting murals on my walls

a sea of cottonmouth fishes:

what else could that mean.

I like to hang out low,

passed out in the backseat.

Hey I like to get real low

you asleep in my bed.  Continue reading

Poem #12- “Looking to Gray Skies”

I’ve run out of gods to save me
so interestingly enough
I turned to an ugly man
and there I learned to sing:

someday is not okay
and than we’ll all fall in circles,
cause we’re all born in this way
sooner enough than you think. Continue reading
