Poem #15-Growing Up

Well the posts have been slightly delayed but not without any good reason ;) new domain name, site layout, and awesomeness coming in the next two weeks. Also, a major launch to be discussed with my new series Murders and the City. Hope you enjoy this little poem, two new posts tomorrow and a poem to catch up!

She looks at me through emerald eyes,
and blows me kisses all the time.
When we’re laying in my bed,
sometimes I can’t quite recall the things she said
cause we’re always talking day to day
ya know she loves it that way.
Says her can’t understand,
wonders why we all can’t play in the sand?

Poem #11 – “Our Story”

Random

We speak in dialogue
like characters in a book,
no a story which has no end.
We jumble our phrases
so let’s pretend
that the author was sipping gin
and wasn’t doing much thinking.
Now we’re laying there on my bed
laughing at the times we spent,
strolling around downtown, evening lights
can you remember the silly things we said?
Now we’re standing there, face to face
and I’m wondering what to say
but there’s not a word on my tongue
that I haven’t already sung.
